Cruise Photos 2025

We were blessed to have left Pennsylvania a little over two weeks ago during the deep freeze with below zero temperatures to head to Florida near Orlando for a week of timeshare and then on to a week long cruise to the Eastern Carribean.

When we got to Florida the first day it was 78 degrees.then quickly dropped to the 50's and then the 40's with rain most of the week. We did take advantage of the heated pool to practice with our snorkeling gear that we were taking on the cruise. We also had a great afternoon visit with Ree Enlow who lived just about 45 minutes from our timeshare. I also got to meet up with one of my PA golf buddies, Bob Markowski, for a round of golf the day before we left on our cruise. It was a brisk 45 degrees when we started but warmed up to the 50's by the time we were were done with our 18 holes.

We left Saturday morning for Port Canaveral where we boarded the Carnival Mardi Gras for our week long adventure. The weather was awesome. Temperature was in the high 70's and no rain all week while on the cruise. Thank you Jesus!

Our first port was Grand Turk where we rented a golf cart, went to Governor's Beach and spent the morning snorkeling in crystal clear waters (I will post some video later), and then toured around the island going to a lighthouse on the far end of the island.

Our next Port was Amber Cove where we took a really nice guided tour of the city that ended with a couple of hours at a nice beach.

Our final port stop was Nassau, Bahamas where we just spent the day relaxing and swimming at the beach.

There were several days spent at sea and there was always as much to do as you wanted or you could just spend the time relaxing on the deck chairs and the hot tubs. There was also some great music including a really good jazz trio that we enjoyed on multiple days. The food was great and we met so many great folks and had delightful conversations.

When we got back to our parking garage we we left our car, we discovered a flat rear tire. Good thing we had triple A. The put our donut on and then we headed to a tie shop and got 2 new rear tires. After a 2 and a half hour delay, we had a rather uneventful 2 day drive back to Pennsylvania.

We are so blessed to be enjoying our retirement and healthy enough to be enjoying trips like this.
