When we bought our house it had nice wooden double front doors, however, they were not very cold weather efficient. When we decided to replace most of the windows in the house, we also decided to replace the front door. I found a beautiful mahogany double door online and had it shipped to our house from California. After a while the finish on the outer part of the door was wearing off so we had to take it off and refinish the door. Later we added an awning over the front door to help to delay the effects of the weather on the door. We have gotten many compliments on our front door and it really makes our house stand out.
