When we first bought our house, it had a slate floor in the kitchen. The slate was very uneven and hard to keep clean, so we bout the best linoleum tile that we could find. We tore out the old slate, put in a new sub floor and then installed the linoleum tiles. After just 10 years they were starting to not wear well. We decided that a cork floor would be more comfortable on the feet and would help if glasses or plates were dropped on the floor. Less chance of breaking. Below are the photos of installing the cork flooring over top of the linoleum flooring.
